QAYG instructions for serger method --these are well written and how I first learned the method. Now I use it to add borders to a smaller quilt center made with log cabin/row type of QAYG method.

  1. Instead of using my serger, I often use my zigzag stitch to join the three layers: top, bat, and back. Then I use my straight stitch to fold them back (tops right sides together and the bat on top of that, with the backing on the bottom.
